After 20 plus years of working in the NHS we have finally left to concentrate on our new adventure Bristol Home Therapists. So why have we taken this leap and left our secure positions? Our main reason and objective is to get back to fulfilling our roles as therapists and treating our patients in a timely manner.

The NHS is an ever-changing beast and Covid 19 really tested its capabilities. Whilst doing an excellent job at managing the huge influx of people with symptoms, it has not been able to maintain services away from the acute need, so people have been left to manage conditions and problems themselves. NHS commissioning structures have also changed in this time and priorities have shifted adding to long wait times for a patient to see a Therapist.

We hope that having a choice of when to see a Physio or Occupational Therapist (OT) individually or as part of a joint assessment and treatment approach will be valuable to those in need.

We believe that a reduced wait time will ultimately help prevent deconditioning and deterioration in function and enhance potential recovery.

Having worked closely within community teams, we have seen the great benefits of a joint assessment and treatment approach. Physio and OT have unique skills that whilst there is some overlap, are even more valuable when combined to produce a tailored patient centered approach to help an individual achieve goals. A practical and professional approach helps people whose everyday challenges prevent independence and fulfillment.

As a domiciliary service, we save you the worry of how to get to a clinic on time. Whilst this may incur some travel costs, you are free to remain at home, saving your energy for the session.

Please have a look at our website for further information or give us a call and see how we may be able to help you.
